The illustration aimed to capture the thesis semester’s programmatic exploration, focusing on understanding program moods. It’s structured in three layers: the core displays the site plan and crucial access points; expanding outward, it reveals program exploration and its mood. Zooming out are the Users’ hands symbolizing engagement and being above all, while all else converges and depicts a vendor table. The illustration was to understand the mood, program, site, users and their hierarchy in the thesis.
The illustrations have been crafted primarily with Procreate, tracing the real life photographs and situations into the sheet to get the mood of the space right. Post-production, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, involved drawing corrections, stitching and labeling. This approach ensured the illustration visually narrated the thesis layers correctly, stripped of unnecessary complexities of explaining program, mood, users and site in different mediums and resonating with the raw essence of the explorations.
