Stacked Realms : Manya Jain

The hospitality high-rise in Mangalore is conceived as a vertically layered composition, stacking public, semi-public, and private functions. A stepped massing strategy forms a heavier, active base that terraces upward, allowing the building to read as a visual relief. The lower levels house highly public spaces such as the portico, banquet halls, lobby, and restaurant, conceived as porous planes that encourage movement and gathering. Wellness and leisure functions act as relief floors, carved out as terraces and sky gardens, while the upper levels accommodate private guest rooms with ensured privacy through setbacks. A clear service core integrates circulation and fire escape, balancing density with openness through terraces, voids, and greenery.
