This illustration was created to depict the organic growing of the housing which I had named as Housing as a Living System. The illustration shows exposed structural elements, unfinished parts of building as a symbol that the building keeps taking different shapes.
The graphic was first completed in SketchUp by having different elements of the building tagged in different tags which helps to export better when required for making different kind of drawings. Next after exporting it as a PDF and its shadows as PNG, I proceeded in Adobe Illustrator where I cleaned the unnecessary lines in the drawings. Once cleaned I took it to Photoshop to add the colours, shadow, humans and vegetation.
